Senior Customer Success Engineer

Marketbright is a venture-backed, fast-growing startup in the CRM - Marketing Automation space. This is a great opportunity in the high-tech B2B SaaS space for a motivated, flexible person who learns quickly and works well with a team.
You will be a client facing resource that is involved in projects ranging from assisting in pre-sales activities, to acting as a Best Practices Consultant and Technical Expert throughout the implementation and support phases. You must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment, possess strong client communication skills, as well as have strong software application and Marketing knowledge. The combination of these skills is imperative to succeed in this role, and as Customer Success Manager you are a main contributor to the success of our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Gather client’s application requirements to facilitate the implementation and/or development process with Marketbright customers
- Act as a consultant by analyzing vertical market and technical solutions
- Effectively demonstrate and champion the capabilities, solutions and value of Marketbright
- Effectively translate client’s business objectives to the development team and act as a bridge between the operations team and the development team
- Maintain deep technical knowledge as it relates to the Marketbright application
- Work directly with Product Management to constantly innovate and refine the Marketbright application based on best practice and customer need
Required Skills:
- An extensive technical knowledge base, including
- ASP/Internet based technologies
- SaaS Web based applications and architecture
- Web Service and API’s
- Proficient HTML and AJAX/Javascript skills
- Proficient relational database and SQL queries
- IT/software solutions design, configuration, and implementation
- Some programming / coding experience
- Ideally good knowledge of Oracle and Oracle PL/SQL
- High understanding of Interactive Marketing from at least one of the below areas:
- Marketing Automation
- Email Marketing
- CRM Software
- Marketing Software and Technology
- Significant experience working in a Marketing Department; database/online Marketing; interactive Marketing; managing online based Marketing Campaigns, etc.
- Extensive experience being an integral part of large scale marketing based software applications
- Experience communicating with Executive level staff within fortune 500 companies
- Exceptional Proficiency at learning complex software solutions
- Strong time management skills and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with designing solutions based on criteria given
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, General Business and/or a Computer-related discipline
- Ability to work:
- Effectively in a small team environment
- On multiple projects congruently in different global regions
- Travel a minimum of 20% of the time (flexibility required to meet customer requirements)
- Demonstrate effective presentation skills and passion for product and business value
Nice to haves
- Business Analyst experience
- Technical support experience working for a software company a plus
- HTML and JavaScript Coding experience
- Post Secondary Education degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- PHP or Perl
- Web Services, SOAP, APIs
- B2B Marketing domain expertise or some Sales and Marketing experience
- Packaged Enterprise Software Applications deployment experience
